Anti-CCP

Autoantibodies directed against cyclic citrullinated peptides, highly specific for rheumatoid arthritis and used as a serologic marker for early diagnosis, often preceding clinical manifestations and radiographic joint damage.

Causes

  • Rheumatoid arthritis

  • SLE

  • Sjögren's disease

  • Tuberculosis

  • Chronic lung disease

  • Tobacco smoking

  • Chronic periodontitis
