Balanitis

Inflammatory condition of the glans penis, typically presenting with erythema, edema, pain, and sometimes discharge.

Causes

• Infection: Yeast, bacteria, herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea

• Irritant: Soaps, shower gels, laundry detergents

• Poor hygiene

• Inflammatory: Eczema, psoriasis, and lichen sclerosus

• Systemic disease
