De Musset's sign

Rhythmic anteroposterior nodding or bobbing of the head synchronous with the arterial pulse, classically associated with widened pulse pressure in significant aortic regurgitation.

  • Rheumatic heart disease

  • Infective endocarditis

  • Aortic aneurysm

  • Marfan syndrome

  • Syphilitic aortitis
