Symptom
Fistula
Abnormal epithelial-lined communication between two hollow organs (rectovaginal, colovesical), vessels (arteriovenous), or between an internal organ and the skin (enterocutaneous, anal), permitting pathological passage of fluid. Possible causes are congenital, inflammatory (abscess, IBD), neoplastic, traumatic, or surgical (arteriovenous fistula).
