Jelly stool

Stool with a gelatinous, currant jelly appearance due to admixture of blood, mucus, and sloughed intestinal mucosa, classically associated with intestinal intussusception, intestinal infections (salmonella, norovirus, parasites), Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and lower gastrointestinal bleeding in both pediatric and adult patients.
