Obturator sign

A right lower quadrant or suprapubic pain elicited by passive flexion and internal rotation of the hip, indicating irritation of the obturator internus muscle. Possible causes are acute appendicitis located in the pelvis, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, tubo-ovarian abscess, ovarian torsion, or pelvic abscess.
