Psoas sign

Abdominal pain elicited by passive extension or active flexion of the hip, reflecting irritation of the iliopsoas muscle and adjacent retroperitoneal structures.

    • Retrocecal appendicitis

    • Psoas abscess

    • Pyelonephritis

    • Crohn's disease

    • Vertebral osteomyelitis

  • Gynecological causes

    • Ovarian torsion

    • Ectopic pregnancy

  • Retroperitoneal hematoma
