Enanthem

Mucosal eruption characterized by erythematous or vesiculopapular lesions on the oropharyngeal mucous membranes, often accompanying a cutaneous exanthem. Common causes are viral infection (measles/rubeola, coxsackievirus, varicella-zoster, COVID-19, mononucleosis, herpes simplex, rubella, hand/foot/mouth disease), bacterial infections (scarlet fever), fungal infection (thrush), and drug reactions.
