Symptom
Esotropia
A manifest convergent strabismus in which one or both eyes deviate inward toward the nose, disrupting normal binocular alignment and potentially causing diplopia or suppression. Possible causes are uncorrected farsightedness (hyperopia), extraocular muscle imbalance, genetics, unilateral vision loss causing the eye to drift inward, neurological conditions (cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, brain tumor, stroke), diabetes, Graves' disease, and premature birth.
