High-riding testis

Abnormally cephalad position of the testis within the hemiscrotum or at the external inguinal ring. Possible causes include twisted spermatic cord frequently associated with acute testicular torsion, hyperactive cremaster muscle, Bell Clapper deformity, inguinal hernia, scar tissue after previous surgery, and undescended testicle.
