Lipiduria
The presence of lipids in the urine which may be visualized as fatty casts or oval fat bodies on urine microscopy. Often associated with heavy proteinuria, nephrotic-range glomerular disease (diabetic nephropathy, SLE, minimal change disease, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis), fat embolism syndrome, chyluria due to lymphatic obstruction or parasitic infections, or nephrotoxicity (antibiotics or toxins).
