Symptom
Necrolytic migratory erythema
A distinctive, recurrent, erosive and blistering annular erythematous dermatosis, typically involving intertriginous and periorificial areas, and characterized histologically by superficial epidermal necrosis and psoriasiform epidermal hyperplasia. Possible causes are strongly associated with glucagonoma, severe nutritional deficiencies due to excess glucagon (zinc, amino acids, essential fatty acids), liver failure, and intestinal malabsorption (celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, chronic pancreatitis).
Also known as: Necrolytic erythema migrans
