Permeative bone lesion

An extremely aggressive osteolytic pattern characterized radiographically by innumerable tiny, ill-defined endosteal lucencies with a wide zone of transition and poorly demarcated margins, reflecting rapid destruction and infiltration of bone tissue.

• Malignant bone tumors

  • Fibrosarcoma

  • Ewing sarcoma

  • Primary bone lymphoma

  • Langerhans cell histiocytosis

  • Desmoid tumor (aggressive fibromatosis with bone involvement)

• Metastatic tumors causing aggressive osteolysis

  • Lung cance

  • Breast cancer

  • Prostate cancer

  • Thyroid cancer

• Hematologic malignancies

  • Multiple myeloma

  • Lymphoma involving bone

  • Leukemic bone infiltration

• Osteomyelitis
