Prolonged expiration
An abnormal lengthening of the expiratory phase of breathing (>5 seconds), typically reflecting airflow limitation and increased airway resistance. Often seen in obstructive pulmonary diseases such as asthma, COPD, bronchiolitis, and tracheomalacia.
