Thrill
Palpable, superficial, vibratory sensation overlying a blood vessel or cardiac structure. Typically produced by turbulent blood flow from a loud cardiac murmur (aortic stenosis, mitral regurgitation, septal defects), arterial aneurysm, vascular stenosis, or arteriovenous fistula.
