Urethritis

Inflammation of the urethral mucosa, characterized clinically by dysuria and urethral discharge. Commonly associated with Sexually Transmitted Infections (chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis), viral infections (HSV, CMV), bacterial infections (E. coli), trauma (catheter), and chemical irritation (sensitivities or allergic reactions to soap, spermicide, lotion, or bubble bath).
