Elevated PSA

An increased prostate-specific antigen (PSA) concentration above the age-adjusted reference range, reflecting increased activity, disruption, or inflammation of prostatic epithelial tissue.

40-49 years: <2.5 ng/mL
50-59 years: <3.5 ng/mL
60-69 years: <4.5 ng/mL
70+ years: <6.5 ng/mL

- Prostatitis
Urinary tract infection
Urinary retention
Mechanical or physiological factors
- Recent sexual activity/ejaculation
- Intense cycling
