Intraocular hemorrhage

Bleeding within the globe involving intraocular vascular structures (anterior chamber, vitreous, retina, choroid, or suprachoroidal space), potentially elevating intraocular pressure and impairing visual function depending on location and extent. Possible causes are diabetic retinopathy, physical trauma, retinal tear/detachment, retinal blood vessel rupture, medications (anticoagulants or antiplatelet), and age-related macular degeneration.
