Pyuria

The presence of pus in the urine, characterized by an increased number of leukocytes. Often associated with urinary tract infection (bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic/tuberculosis), Sexually Transmitted Infections (chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis), inflammation (urolithiasis, interstitial cystitis, lupus, Kawasaki disease), medications (NSAIDs, PPIs, diuretics), urinary catheters, renal tumors, polycystic kidney disease, or transplant rejection.
