Sunset eye sign

An ophthalmologic manifestation of upward gaze paresis in infants or young children, characterized by forced downward deviation of the globes with visible superior scleral rim, typically indicating increased intracranial pressure. Possible causes are hydrocephalus, shunt malfunction, Parinaud syndrome, brain tumor/cysts/hemorrhage, or benign condition in healthy infants (<6-7 months) due to immature ocular reflexes.
