Flushing

Possible causes are emotions (embarrassment, anger, anxiety, excitement), temperature, exercise, diet (hot beverages, spicy food, alcohol), medications (vasodilator), rosacea, menopause, hyperthyroidism, fever, carcinoid syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, pheochromocytoma, and anaphylaxis.

Sudden, transient erythema and increased warmth of the skin, typically affecting the face, neck, or upper chest, caused by vasodilation of cutaneous blood vessels.
