Hyperhidrosis

Generalized or focal excessive sweating, due to overactivity of eccrine sweat glands, producing perspiration beyond that required for thermoregulatory homeostasis. Possible causes are primary (idiopathic) or secondary to systemic disease (menopause, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, tuberculosis, malaria, lymphoma, leukemia, obesity, anxiety, heart failure) or medications (antidepressants, pain relievers, antihypertensive, substance withdrawal).
