Keratitis
Inflammation of the cornea, typically presenting with ocular pain, photophobia, decreased visual acuity, and ciliary injection, and may potentially progress to corneal ulceration and scarring. Possible causes are infection (bacterial, viral, fungal, parasitic) or noninfectious etiologies (contact lenses, eye injury, dry eye, lagophthalmos leading to exposure keratitis, UV overexposure causing snow blindness or welders' arc eye).
