Palmar erythema
The symmetrical redness or pinkness on the palms of the hands.
Common causes:
Pregnancy: High estrogen levels change blood flow
Liver failure: Cirrhosis or hepatitis alter hormone breakdown
Autoimmune diseases: Rheumatoid arthritis
Hyperthyroidism
Medications and lifestyle: Topiramate, albuterol, or heavy smoking
