Cardiomegaly

A pathological enlargement of the heart, typically defined radiographically by an increased cardiothoracic ratio, and reflects dilation and/or hypertrophy of one or more cardiac chambers secondary to diverse structural or functional cardiac disorders.

  • Hypothyroidism

  • Hyperthyroidism

  • Pulmonary hypertension

  • Kidney disease

  • Pregnancy

  • Intense athletic training
