Symptom
Nasal congestion
Obstruction of nasal airflow due to engorgement and edema of the nasal mucosa, often accompanied by increased mucus production. Possible causes are infections (common cold, influenza, COVID-19, sinusitis), allergy (pollen, dust mites, pet dander), anatomical issues (deviated septum, nasal polyps, enlarged adenoids, turbinate hypertrophy), rebound congestion due to prolonged nasal spray abuse, irritants (tobacco smoke, air pollution), and hormonal changes.
