Otalgia
Pain localized to the external, middle, or inner ear, arising from primary otologic disease (otitis externa/media, Eustachian tube dysfunction, cerumen impaction, barotrauma, perforated eardrums, herpes Zoster Oticus) or referred from adjacent head and neck structures via shared sensory innervation (temporomandibular joint, dental abscess, tongue inflammation, tonsillitis, pharyngitis).
