Virchow's node

A pathologically enlarged left supraclavicular lymph node, classically hard, firm, and non-tender, representing a sentinel site for metastatic spread from intra-abdominal or intrathoracic malignancies.

  • Breast cancer

  • Lymphoma

• Infectious and inflammatory causes

  • Tuberculosis

  • Syphilis

  • Erysipelas or infection of the left arm

  • Sarcoidosis
