Bloating

Subjective sensation and/or objective finding of increased abdominal fullness, tightness, or distension, typically due to intraluminal gas, luminal contents, or impaired gut motility, often associated with discomfort or pressure but without necessarily increased abdominal girth on examination.

  • Dietary triggers: Lactose intolerance, eating large/heavy meals, High-FODMAP Food, artificial sweeteners, carbonated drinks, salty/fatty foods

  • Aerophagia

  • Constipation

  • Dehydration

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome

  • SIBO

  • Hormonal fluctuations
