Diagnostic finding
Hypercapnia
Abnormally elevated arterial carbon dioxide (PaCO₂) above the normal range (35–45 mmHg or 4.6–6.1 kPa), usually caused by alveolar hypoventilation and commonly associated with respiratory acidosis.
