Rhinorrhea

Excessive serous or mucous nasal discharge resulting from hypersecretion of the nasal mucosa. Commonly associated with infections (common cold, influenza, COVID-19, RSV), allergic (pollen, pet dander, dust mites), medications (overuse of nasal sprays, antihypertensive, antidepressants, opioid withdrawal), or irritants (smoke, pollution, cold/dry air, strong odor, spicy foods), structural issues (nasal polyps, enlarged adenoids, deviated septum), CSF leak, and foreign objects lodged in the nasal passage.
