Wide pulse pressure
An abnormally increased difference between systolic and diastolic arterial pressures (>60-100 mmHg), reflecting elevated stroke volume and/or decreased arterial compliance. Often associated with conditions such as aortic regurgitation, arteriosclerosis, and hyperdynamic circulatory states (anemia, hyperthyroidism, increased intracranial pressure).
