Pallor

An abnormal generalized or localized cutaneous paleness. Often secondary to reduced oxyhemoglobin in superficial vessels, anemia (deficiency of iron/vitamin B₁₂/folate, sickle cell anemia, thalassemia, hemorrhage), shock (heart failure, pulmonary embolism), peripheral vasoconstriction (Raynaud's phenomenon), hypoglycemia, arterial insufficiency, stress/fear/anxiety, exposure to extreme cold (frostbite), kidney disease, chronic infection, and leukemia.
